Monogamist or polygamist reader?
Polygamist; I've got too many books on my list to commit to only one at a time.
Are you a morning reader or a night owl?
Both! I think reading is effective for turning your brain on or off depending on the time of day.
First book that made a big impression on you?
Reading Tana French's novel In the Woods during my freshman year of high school was the onset to my obsession for the mystery genre.
What's your most terrifying book experience?
Dropping a book into the water while reading during a bath.
Favorite book growing up?
The Inkheart trilogy--I was infatuated with the premise of bringing things from books into real life.

Everyone should read this book! Smith is so incredibly engagin, inviting the reader into important conversations about revisionist framing of our country's history. It's both sobering and emotional, thoroughly researched and beautifully descriptive. The most important & meaningful book I've read this year!

A vessel for the narrative of Washuta's life as she navigates addiction, heartbreak, trauma, witchcraft & colonization as a Native woman. This book is ingenious--essays woven together adding up to something beyond each piece. Captivating, intimate, & hilarious, I enjoyed being led through this journey.
